Pippa’s varied career reflects her personal and professional interests in wellbeing and thriving, from social, cultural, physical and spiritual perspectives.
After obtaining a B.Sc. (Hons) in Applied Sociology she worked in homelessness and housing policy. She then became an instructor in fitness and outdoor pursuits/Duke of Edinburgh’s Award before moving on to management and consulting in the music industry.
Pippa’s interest in holistic work came from personal experience of stress-related illness. She had always been interested in health and fitness, but for a long while was more concerned
with nutrition and exercise than the spiritual side of well-being.
Working long and unsocial hours in the music business, she discovered the immense impact that stress has on the physical body. In an effort to recover from her illness, she began to look beyond physical remedies to understand the mental/emotional causes.
Pippa became a Reiki healer in 2008 and a professional therapist in 2012. She practises a range of therapies for individual wellbeing as well as teaching Reiki, Meditation and Mindfulness.
Skills for spiritual and personal development
Pippa’s belief is that we are more than a body and a mind, that we are primarily spiritual beings.
Through Reiki training and healing sessions, she assists people on their path of personal and spiritual development. When the client is ready and energy blockages are cleared away, they start to see and experience the world in a more positive way.
Understanding that stress management is vitally important for our long term physical and mental wellbeing, Pippa incorporates positive psychology and mindfulness techniques into her Reiki training, Life Coaching and Meditation Classes.
She aims to empower clients and help them to build resilience within themselves. She teaches clients how to manage and protect their energy and state of mind: how to avoid being overwhelmed by lifestyle demands, negative self-talk and other people’s emotions.
Pippa gives talks, workshops and radio interviews on the subjects of Stress, Personal Development, Mindfulness, Life Balance, Spirituality. Talks that she presented in in 2015-16 included “Healthy Ways to Handle Stress”, “The Power of Self-Belief” and “Mindfulness in Business”.
